The third technical meeting of canyoning professionals took place in the beautiful surroundings of Ötztal, Austria, from 11.10.-13.10.2024. The event, previously organised in Arco and Sierra de Guara, once again attracted the attention of canyoneers from all over Europe. The international team, made up of experienced guides and canyoning instructors from Spain, Slovenia, Italy, Germany and Austria, spent three days, from Friday to Sunday, exchanging knowledge and experience.
The meeting started on Friday evening with a familiarisation meeting, on Saturday the canyoneers visited two canyons, and after the tours the host Austrian instructors and guides gave two very interesting lectures on the durability of ropes on sharp rock surfaces and first aid in canyons. On Sunday, the participants went into one last canyon, and thus, in a "canyoning" fashion, brought the meeting to the end.
